Material examined. MYANMAR: Mandalay Division: 3 males, 3 females (apterous), Maymyo Township, Gelaung River at Pwe Kauk Falls , 8 km. E. of Maymyo , 1005 m., 22°03.523' N, 96°31.956' E, water temp. 24.5° C., coll. D.A. & J. T . Polhemus , 19 Oct. 1998, CL 4012 ( JTPC) ; 5 males, 7 females (apterous), 1 female (macropterous), Maymyo Township, small clear stream nr. Paungdaw Village, Maymyo Reserved Forest , 8 km. S. of Maymyo , 975 m ., 21°58.199' N, 96°25.840' E, water temp. 22.5°C, coll. D.A. & J. T . Polhemus , 20 Oct. 1998, 16:30–17:30 hrs., CL 4014 ( JTPC, 1 apterous male & 2 apterous females in ZRC) . Shan Division: 1 male (apterous), spring and streams nr. Shwelinban village, NE of Inle Lake, 4.5 km. NE of Nyaungshwe , 900 m ., 20°41.657' N, 96°57.759' E, water temp. 22.5°C, coll. D.A. & J. T . Diagnosis. Size: males: length 3.80–4.00, width 1.30–1.50 (apterous); females: length 4.15–4.60, width 1.60–1.80 (apterous), length 5.00, width 1.80 (macropterous). Mesosternum about 9.0 times as long as metasternum. Antennal segment 1 with 5 spines along its length and 3–4 spines near apex. Male’s fore leg: femur moderately incrassate, basal part with an elongate patch of hairs, with a tuft of long black hairs near middle, and at distal ¼ with a tuft of shorter hairs; tibia slightly curved and thickened at basal ⅓, inner side with a long patch of brown hairs ( Fig. 1). Male genitalia: pygophore with a well-developed median process, postero-lateral corners produced into small lobes ( Fig. 2); lateral arms of proctiger distinctly curved near basal, then broadened in the middle and abruptly narrowed at distal ⅓. Female: sternum 7 slightly longer than all preceding sterna combined, hind margin with long yellowish hairs; tergum 8 with hind margin slightly emarginated, hair tufts on postero-lateral corners indistinct.
