Diagnosis. Habitus is similar to that of L. ixobolus and L. sericatus , but females of L. jalimovi differ by having a typical heart-shaped epigyne ( Fig. 26 View FIGURES 26 – 32 ). Unlike L. ixobolus and L. sericatus , the male palp of L. jalimovi has a tapered terminal apophysis and unique small spur on the internal side of the flat shield of embolus and a long process at the base of subterminal apophysis 1 ( Figs 11, 12 View FIGURES 11, 12 ). Male palp can also be confused with those of L. cornutus and L. folium , but it differs by presence of processes at the subterminal apophysis 1.

Description. Carapace brown with dark pattern. Chelicerae and sternum brown.

Dorsum of abdomen with dark brown folium and indistinct white cross ( Figs 1 View FIGURES 1 – 4 A, C). Legs yellow, dark annulated with spotted femur.

Male. Total length 6.5–8.5. Carapace 3.2–4.1 long, 2.8–3.8 wide. Length of the first patella + tibia 5.8–7.8. Tibia II not modified, only slightly shorter and thicker than tibia 1 ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 A). Palp as in Figs 9 View FIGURE 9 A, 10A, 11, 12; bulbus with a long tapered terminal apophysis; subterminal apophysis 1 with a long, lunate process in basal part; subterminal apophysis 2 rounded; embolic tip covered by a flat shield bearing small transparent spur on the internal side; median apophysis with a thinner and longer top part in comparison to shorter, flat and square lower one; conductor trapezoid, as high as wide.

Female. Total length 7.8–11.2. Carapace 3.0–4.6 long, 3.0–3.8 wide. Length of the first patella + tibia 4.7–6.9. Epigyne as in Fig. 26 View FIGURES 26 – 32 ; well sclerotised; heart shaped; folded by lateral lamellae; basal lamellae strongly reduced; scapus shortly S-shaped at the base. Copulatory openings near base of scapus, covered by folded margin of lateral lamellae.

Distribution. From the midway along the Amur River to Khabarovsk and south to South Korea and possibly to Zhejiang in China ( Fig. 33 View FIGURE 33 ).

Comments. Holotype female from the Khabarovsk Province, Khabarovsk Pedagogical Institute Biological Station (June to July 1970, Yalymova) from Bakhvalov’s private collection seems to be lost.
