Redescription. Body brownish. Head, antennae, and pronotum light piceous. Length [average] male, 3.7 mm; female, 3.6 mm.
Male. Head ( Fig. 20A) subpentagonal, widest at eyes. Disc punctate, not pubescent. Clypeus subrectangular, plane, protruding a little beyond anterior margin of supra-antennal ridges, almost 1/3 head length, surface sparsely punctate and coriaceous; anterior margin truncate. Supra-antennal ridges obviously elevated upward. Epistomal suture with lateral portions incurved and running posteriorly to level of anterior margin of eyes. Vertex weakly convex, definitely distinguished from neck by middle portion of occipital suture; mid-longitudinal suture distinct and long, nearly touching clypeus, paralateral sutures absent. Eyes with coarse facets, extremely convex and protruding laterally, covering almost all lateral area. Temples extremely short. Occipital suture straight in dorsal view; nuchal ridge obscure, dorsal basal ridge absent.
Mandible ( Fig. 20B) curved; two denticles on inner edge near middle and near apex each. Antenna (type II) stout, longer than head and pronotum together, with apical antennomere shorter than two preceding together.
Pronotum transverse, broadest at near anterior 1/3, wider than head. Disc punctate and 3-sulcate (as Fig. 1H); two paralateral depressions shallow, weakly rugose; lateral margin not crenulate and posterolateral angles not prominent. Elytra punctate and rugose, with lateral longitudinal ridge present.
Abdomen coriaceous and covered with dense fine hairs, broadest at segment V. Sternite VII ( Fig. 20C) with posterior margin straight. Sternite VIII ( Fig. 20D) with subbasal ridge straight; posterior margin broad with two deep and narrow emarginations near middle, forming subrectangular median plate, with mid-longitudinal internal ridge present, apical margin of median plate slightly bi-emarginate, with fine transverse carina behind. Tergite X ( Fig. 20F) longer than wide, gradually narrowed posteriorly, posterior margin truncate or bi-sinuate, with two lines of setae on haired posterior part.
Aedeagus ( Figs. 20I–L). Median lobe elongate, widest at base; with two membranous strips inside; apical orifice large; apico-medial hook broad in ventral view and bent at middle, with apical part short and a little pointed, basal process well developed but short in middle; dorsal membranous area covering most of dorsum and across length of median lobe. Paramere arm-like, obviously projected at near corner, with dorsal process present at apical 1/3 of apical arm, with seta on near apex of apical arm, with apex rounded; with shallow furrow along basal arm.
Female. Abdominal sternite VIII ( Fig. 20E) with posterior margin broadly rounded. Tergite X ( Fig. 20G) scutiform.
Spermatheca ( Fig. 20H) dumbbell-shaped, inflated into sphere at both base and apex.
Distribution. China (Guangxi); Philippines; Laos.
