Redescription. Body blackish; elytra pale to brownish and translucent. Maxillary palpi, first 4 antennomeres, and legs testaceous to brownish. Length [average] male, 5.2 mm; female, 4.0 mm.

Male. Head ( Fig. 6A) with widest at eyes. Disc densely punctate, nearly glabrous. Clypeus subquadrate to moderately elongate and protruding largely beyond anterior margin of supra-antennal ridges, as long as 1/3 head length, slightly depressed in apical part, surface glabrous, coriaceous, and sparsely punctate near anterior margin; anterior margin moderately emarginate and weakly thickened. Epistomal suture with lateral portions broadly incurved and running backward to level of anterior margin of eyes. Vertex densely punctate, slightly convex, posterior part well-limited; mid-longitudinal suture fine and obvious, two punctate paralateral sutures running anteriorly to middle level of eyes. Eyes with fine facets, a little longer than temples. Temples broadly rounded and dilated. Occipital suture with middle portion punctate; nuchal ridge interrupted in middle, dorsal basal ridge present.

Mandible ( Fig. 6C) robust and curved; two denticles on inner edge, one near middle and one at apical 1/4. Antenna (type I) roughly as long as head and pronotum together, with apical antennomere a little shorter than two preceding together.

Pronotum transverse, broadest at about anterior 1/3, not narrower than head. Disc 5-sulcate (as Fig. 1I), median sulcus and two paramedial sulci deep and punctate; two paralateral sulci shorter, deep, and straight. Lateral margins even, posterolateral angles prominent. Elytra punctate but not rugose, without lateral longitudinal ridge.

Abdomen coriaceous and pubescent, broadest at segment V. Sternite VII ( Fig. 6E) with two obsolete denticles near middle of posterior margin, between which weakly emarginate. Sternite VIII ( Fig. 6F) with subbasal ridge continuous in middle, with posterior margin protruding into subtriangular lobe, apex truncate in middle and with fine and transverse arc carina a little behind. Tergite X ( Fig. 6H) longer than wide, posterior margin truncate, with two lines of setae on haired posterior part.

Aedeagus ( Figs. 6K–N). Median lobe oblong-ovoid, a little broadened basally, with sclerite-like or membranous structures inside; apico-medial hook with apical tip pointed, with transverse ridge (like process in lateral view) a little behind apex; dorsal membranous area covering about 4/5 of dorsum of median lobe and not across whole length. Paramere arm-like, with ventrally directed seta and dorsomedially directed process at near apex.

Female. Head ( Fig. 6B) smaller than male, narrower than pronotum; clypeus less protruding, almost flat and with anterior margin truncate; temples shorter than eyes, not dilated; mid-longitudinal suture and paralateral sutures short and feeble; occipital suture continuous in middle. Mandible ( Fig. 6D) smaller.

Abdominal sternite VII without denticles on posterior margin. Sternite VIII ( Fig. 6G) with posterior margin broadly rounded but lightly protruding in middle. Tergite X ( Fig. 6I) with anterior margin narrower and posterior margin truncate.

Spermatheca ( Fig. 6J) ʋ- shaped, almost rightly angulate at middle, basal portion weakly inflated, apex rounded.

Distribution. China (Sichuan); Bangladesh; Pakistan; India.
