Distribution. Introduced. Neotropical; Galápagos: Floreana (ICCDRS), Isabela, San Cristóbal (ICCDRS), Santa Cruz.
Material examined. Galápagos: Isabela: Sierra negra, 900 m, 6.iv.1996, pampa, S. Peck (2 ♀, CNC) . Santa Cruz: El Cascajo Finca Aguirre , 11.xi.2001, YPT, B.J. Sinclair (5 ♁, CNC) .
Remarks. This species was first recorded from the pampa zone of Sierra Negra (Isabela) in 1996. By 2001, it was very common in the agricultural zone of Santa Cruz. Adults were reared from tortoise dung (ICCDRS).
