Distribution. Not determined. Galápagos: Isabela, Santa Cruz.
Remarks. Adults of this species were reared from cow and tortoise dung collected fresh in the agricultural zone (Reserva Pajaro Brujo) and chicken eggs in the littoral and arid zones on Santa Cruz. On Isabela, this species was reared from tortoise dung collected fresh in the highlands, and on guava ( Psidium guajava Linnaeus ) fruit collected fresh in the agricultural zone (Lehnen et al. unpubl.).
This species is possibly conspecific with specimens collected in Florida, USA. The North American species of this genus are in need of revision.
