Etymology. The epithet reflects the tear drop appearance of the spermatheca.

Remarks. The single spine on ventrite six of the male and the form of the genitalia will distinguish this species.

Type data. Holotype: ♂, Montagne d’Ambre N.P., sifting, 1100 m, 30.x.2010, P. Banar. Paratypes: 39 examples, same data as holotype; 1 example, Isalo N.P.
