Acrotrichis perfida sp. n.

Habitus Fig. 28A . Length 0.60 mm. Colour yellowish brown, antennae and legs yellow. Antennomeres 3–11 0.25 mm long Fig. 28 C. Mentum and submentum chaetotaxy Fig. 28 H. Width across eyes 0.21 mm. Pronotum 0.30 mm wide, 0.17 mm long, sides with a slight short sinuation before the posterior angle Fig. 28 B. Elytra 0.34 mm long, 0.30 mm wide. Posterior margin of mesoventral collar slightly sloped at shoulders and without a median excision Fig. 28 F. Posterior margin of metaventrum and metacoxal plates Fig. 28 G. Male: ventrite six with +/- 8 spines closely packed; ventrite seven with square shoulders Fig. 28 H; aedeagus Fig. 28 E.

Female: spermatheca Fig. 28 D.

Etymology. Johnson ms name.

Remarks. Only likely to be confused with minuscula and exigua . Compared to the former the pronotum is less curved, the aedeagus is shorter and the spines on ventrite six more closely packed together. In addition the spermatheca is quite different, it is however very similar to that of minuscula but it may be separated from that species by the form of the pronotum.
