Distribution: Yemen; Djibouti and Central African Republic to Angola and KwaZulu-Natal ( South Africa); Ghana.
Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Vulnerable.
Discussion: Formerly included madagascariensis (e.g., Hayman and Hill, 1971; Koopman, 1993, 1994), but see Peterson et al. (1995). Reviewed by Al-Jumaily (1999).
