Chimarra saddiel Malicky 2017 , NEW SYNONYM

Remarks. This species was described by Pandher & Saini (2012b) from Uttarakhand. Malicky (2017, page 1482) described C. saddiel from Nepal. In his note on its diagnosis, Malicky compared the male of C. saddiel with that of C. lakhwinderae saying, “ C. lakhwinderae PANDHER & SAINI, 2012 , is similar, but the parts of segment X are clearly different” (approximate translation from German). In fact, his illustrations of segment X are very similar to those of Pandher & Saini (2012b), but Pandher & Saini’s figures 10 and 11 showing segment X may have been confusing because the phallus was illustrated among the processes of segment X in those figures. Further, the structure of the phallus, especially in ventral view is almost the same; the phallotremal sclerite complex with 2 small slender Y-shaped processes are facing each other in ventral view inside the retracted phallotheca; the endotheca is without microspines; 4 broad, ovoid, asymmetrical spines lie beyond the phallotremal sclerite complex ( Figs 10–12 View FIGURES 10–12 ). Based on the very strong similarity of size and male genitalic characters seen in the illustrations and descriptions for these two species, we are convinced that C. saddiel is a synonym of C. lakhwinderae .
