Range:— Peru, Bolivia (CO, LP, OR, PO, SC, TA), and Argentina.
Ecology:— Common; saxicolous, mainly in rock crevices, rarely terrestrial in high-elevation grassland and scrub; 2450–4250 m.
Notes:— Very similar to Asplenium stoloniferum Bory from southern Africa and La Réunion, and perhaps conspecific ( Moran & Smith 2001), but pending molecular evidence, we maintain them as separate species.
