Range:— Venezuela and the Guianas to Brazil and Bolivia (BE, CO, LP, PA).
Ecology:— Fairly common; epiphytic and saxicolous in evergreen forests; to 1550 m.
Notes:— Asplenium pseudoangustum Stolze , from Amazonian Ecuador and Peru, may occur in northern Bolivia. It differs from A. angustum by lacking scales on the midribs (vs. scattered, minute, clathrate scales), brown, lanceolate to ovate, acute to acuminate rhizome scales (vs. blackish, linear, attenuate, weakly clathrate scales), obscure veins (vs. evident to prominent), and blades that commonly dry blackish (vs. gray- or yellow-green).
