Additional localities recorded by Arnold (1929) but specimens not seen by the present authors: NAMIBIA: Ombombo [18.40S, 13.56E]; Kamanjab [19.38S, 14.49E]; Otjimbumbe [locality not traced].

Geographical distribution.

Northern Namibia and across the Kunene in southern Angola ( Fig. 16c View Figure 16 ).

Floral associations.

Recorded from three plant families: Amaranthaceae ( Hermbstaedtia odorata (Burch.) T. Cooke); Asteraceae ( Gazania pectidea (DC.) Harv.); Lamiaceae ( Leucas pechuelii (Kuntze) Guerke).

Nesting.

Unknown.

Prey.

Recorded taking one family of Diptera : Bombyliidae (one female captured with bombyliid prey).
