Head ( Figure 5B, F View Figure 5 ). Median lobe of clypeus broadly angulate. Frons and vertex coriaceous with small, sparse punctures. Compound eye with sparse, short hairs. Anterior ocellus completely surpassing imaginary to top eye line; posterior ocelli distant from vertex crest by 1.0 as wide as DAO. Vertex crest straight in dorsal view. Ventral surface and gena polished, coriaceous with punctures as frons and vertex; median suture weakly present.

Mesosoma ( Figure 5 View Figure 5 C–E, G)

Pronotum coriaceous, weakly papillate; lateral margin without granules. Mesoscutum coriaceous with distinct parapsidal furrow. Scutellum coriaceous; scutellar pit ellipsiodal, each pit distant from another by 2.5 times maximum diameter. Propodeal disc with three discal carinae; median carina reaching transverse carina; submedian discal carinae convergent, reaching basal two-thirds of LPD; basal two-thirds of sublateral area coriaceous and distal one-third confused-rugulose. Propodeal declivity completely imbricate without median carina. Mesopleural dentate process not developed.

Metasoma

Petiolate. Sternites II, VI smooth to weakly coriaceous, not papillate.

Distribution

Cambodia (new record), India (new record), Sri Lanka ( Krombein, 1996), Thailand (new record).

Remarks

Odontepyris muesebecki Krombein was firstly described by Krombein (1996) from Sri Lanka. Based on the results of this study, it is confirmed that O. muesebecki Krombein is widely distributed from Sri Lanka to Cambodia, through India and Thailand.
