hirsutipes Bollman, 1893:198–199 View in CoL .

Holotype: not known to exist, not included in the latest NMNH type listing nor did I find it during a check of their types in 2004; type locality: West Indies .

Original rank: species. Current rank and status: synonym of S. alternans Leach, 1815 ( Shelley 2002) .

Remarks: Scolopendra hirsutipes was omitted by Bücherl (1942 a, 1974).
