Material examined: BRAZIL: Sao Paulo, Cananeia , restinga, 23 0 0.1’59’’S 44 0 47’7.9’’W, 9 m a.s.l. ( GITA), Malaise, holotype male, 16.ii.2002, F. O. Roque ( MZUSP). Other material as in Andersen et al. (2010: 51) .

Diagnostic characters: The species differs from other members of the genus except P. propetropis sp. n. and P. tropis by having a long virga with lateral lamellae. It differs from P. tropis by having a small sharply pointed crista dorsalis and a shorter, curved gonostylus without outer corner.
