TYPE MATERIAL EXAMINED: Holotype ♂: [Coll. P. Limbourg, Kenya, Mombassa, 04.1994, Leg. P. Moretto] ( RBINS).
Paratypes: 1♂, 1♀: [ Kenya, Tiwi , 10.VI.(19)74, lgt. Hẚjkov ẚ] ( PCPL, PCJM) .
DESCRIPTION.
♂: length: 12.5 mm, breadth: 6.5 mm; ratio LB/lB (n = 2): 1.63 – 1.73.
Laterally convex, rather elongate, slightly bent, broader in middle of elytra; yellowishbrown with head, apical teeth of protibia, all margins and tarsi reddish brown.
Head (eye to eye) broad; clypeus rounded, entirely reflexed, totally covered with tubercles; vertex transversely striated.
Antennae 10 segmented, with club longer than funicle.
Pronotum rectangular, broader than long; ratio LP/lP (n = 2): 0.46 – 0.50; sides regularly rounded from base to apex; all margins carinate, anterior angles slightly projecting and reaching posterior margin of eyes; transversely striated.
Scutellum subtriangular, punctate.
Elytra longer than broad; ratio LE/lE (n = 2): 1.32 – 1.35; epipleura complete; costae slightly elevated; intervals strongly punctate.
Humeral and apical calli marked.
Pygidium laterally rounded, carinate, not projecting posteroventrally and not surpassing apex of elytra.
Abdomen concave; process at base of prosternum pointed.
Protibia tridentate, larger claw elongate, as long as last tarsomere, proand mesotarsal larger claw cleft; larger claw of metatarsus 3 times longer than outer one.
Upper and underside covered with short white, squamous, decumbent setae, erected on head and on sides of elytra; long erected yellowish setae from canthus to apex of elytra; longer erected white setae on disc of pygidium.
Aedeagus: parameres triangular, laterally slightly sinuate, strongly sclerified; strongly sinuate ventrally in lateral view.
♀: length: 13.5 mm, breadth: 7 mm.
Differs from ♂ by: larger; body more convex; club of antennae shorter; abdomen convex and by pygidium projecting posteroventrally.
