Remarks. According to Santos-Silva et al. (2010) on Hovorodon : “ Etymology. We are pleased to name this genus in memory of the late Frank T. Hovore for his friendship and many contributions to the study of Cerambycidae . Masculine gender.” The name is from Hovore + the suffix “odon,” from the name of the genus Mallodon . “Odon” is fRom GReek “ὀδών” (odṓn), meanIng tooth, and Is mascuLIne gendeR. MIstakenLy, Santos-SILva et al. (2010) recorded the species of the genus with neuter ending. Therefore, the names of the species currently included in Hovorodon are: H. bituberculatus (Palisot de Beauvois, 1805) ; H. maxillosus (Drury, 1773) ; H. santacruzensis (Hovore & Santos-Silva, 2004) ; and H. subcancellatus (Thomson, 1867) .
