Type locality and specimens. Fundnotiz [locality note]: Das einzige Exemplar wurde bei Stat. 112, Karrakatta in der Nähe von Perth erbeutet [The only specimen was collected at Station 112, Karrakatta near Perth].

Dimensions. Das einzige erbeutete Exemplar dieser neuen Art ist nur 38 mm lang bei einer Dicke von fast 3 mm. [The only collected specimen of this new species shows a length of 38 mm and a width of nearly 3 mm].

Collection remarks. The specimen was collected by Wilhelm Michaelsen during his expedition to Western Australia 1905.

Current systematic position. Cormocephalus inopinatus ( Kraepelin, 1908) ; transferred by Attems (1930: 109) as Cormocephalus (Colobopleurus) inopiatus .
