Type Locality: México, Colima, Colima.
Vernacular Names: Southern Pygmy Mouse.

Distribution: SW Nayarit and C Veracruz, México, to NW Nicaragua, excluding Yucatán Peninsula and Caribbean tropical lowlands.
Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
