D. portoricensis was reported from Brazil, Costa Rica, Colombia, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, El Salvador, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela (Buritica and Hennen 1980; Evans and Ellison 2005; Farr et al. 2004; Hernandezetal. 2005a, b). Ithas been reported from Panama on Mikania scandens (L.) Willd. and Mikania sp. (Buritica and Hennen 1980). This is the first report of D. portoricensis on M. micrantha from Panama.
