Keng [耿 -礼] 1065 (lecto-, designated by Lin & Sun (2007: 178): PE00021959!; isolecto-: A00033765!, PE00021935!). – Additional type material: China, Zhejiang, Tiantai, Tientai Shan, in wood partially shaded, 3500 ft, 10 May 1924, R.C. Ching 1547 (syn-: PE00021958!). – Note: the isolectotype from PE lacks a specimen label, but it has a collection label that matches the lectotype collection label exactly. It is therefore very likely a duplicate. However, it is annotated as “ Carpinus nobilis Hu type”, a name whose publication status is unknown to the present authors.
