Type material: Holotype: female: CAMEROON: Chabal Mbabo , south-west. Slope, 07°25′N, 12°49′E, 9.iv.1983, 1600 m, gallery forest, Bosmans & Van Stalle ( MRAC 162250 View Materials ). GoogleMaps

Diagnosis: Females of P. personata are recognized by the long, pointed posterior lip of the epigyne.

Etymology: The species name is an adjective referring to the mask-like appearance of the epigyne. ‘Persona’ means mask in Latin.

Description: Female (holotype, MRAC 162250). Total l 5.40.

Carapace chestnut brown, covered by tiny warts forming a network with polygonal meshes. Carapace l: 2.60; w: 2.15. Sternum warted, l: 1.20; w: 1.40. Abdomen greyish brown, without do scutum. Legs orange-brown, covered by fine warts.

Leg spination: fe: I pl 0-0-0-1-1 rlv 0-0-0-0-1; III do 0-0-1; IV do 0-1-1; ti: I ve 2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2; II ve 2-2- 2-2-2-2-2-2; mt: I ve 2-2-2-2; II ve 2-2-2-2; III rlv 0-1-0; IV ve 1-1-1.

Epigyne ( Figs 34A, B View Figure 34 , 39B View Figure 39 ): with large, triangular, posterior lip. Internal structure visible in transparency. Copulatory openings just in front of centre. Copulatory ducts comma shaped, leading into small, widely separated spermathecae at level of copulatory openings. Small lobate ducts behind spermathecae.

Male unknown.

Known geographical distribution: Cameroon ( Fig. 40 View Figure 40 ).

Type material: Lectotype (here designated): male: GUINEA-BISSAU ( MNHN) (examined).

Paralectotype (here designated): female: together with lectotype (examined).

Diagnosis: Males of P. rutila are recognized by the broad, obliquely truncate RTA and the broad proximal part of the tegulum, of which the frontal margin has a rounded and a pointed extremity. Females are characterized by the epigyne with broadly rounded posterior margin.

Description: Male (lectotype, MNHN). Total l 4.95.

Carapace chestnut brown, covered by tiny warts forming a network with polygonal meshes. Carapace l: 2.50; w: 2.10. Fovea deep, clearly delimited. Sternum warted, l: 1.10; w: 1.25. Abdomen greyish brown, with a large, brown dorsal scutum covering 80% of do abdominal surface area.

Legs orange-brown, covered by fine warts.

Carapace as in male, l: 2.25; w: 1.88. Sternum warted, l: 1.10; w: 1.23. Abdomen greyish brown, without do scutum. Legs orange-brown, covered by fine warts.

Epigyne ( Fig. 35C, D View Figure 35 ): largely extended over epigastric fold, with tiny central depression just in front of posterior margin. Internal structure visible in transparency with three dark rounded structures on either side. Spermathecae kidney shaped, separated by less than their length, longitudinal axes diverging.
