Description. Crown pale yellowish white, with two blackish brown spots on anterior margin ( Figs. 13, 15 View FIGURES 13 – 16 ). Eyes dark brown, ocelli yellowish white. Frontoclypeus pale yellowish white, with lower area dark brown and a large kidney-shaped black dorsomedial marking; anteclypeus, lorum and genae dark brown ( Fig. 16 View FIGURES 13 – 16 ). Pronotum pale yellowish brown, anterior margin with two dark brown markings, posterior area with four dark brown markings ( Figs. 13, 15 View FIGURES 13 – 16 ). Scutellum pale yellowish brown, with two brown markings basally ( Figs. 13, 15 View FIGURES 13 – 16 ). Forewing pale yellowish white to yellowish brown, veins yellowish white, with symmetrical brown markings at median and apical region ( Figs. 13, 14 View FIGURES 13 – 16 ). Hind wing with three apical cells, macropterous, with two anteapical cells, inner anteapical cell closed basally. Legs brown to dark brown, except base of tarsus yellowish brown. Profemur with 2 dorsoapical setae, intercalary row with 10 setae, and row AV with several fine setae. Protibia with 4 macrosetae decreasing in length toward the base in row AV, row AM with 1 stout seta, and row AD with several short setae. Hind femur broadened distally and slightly bowed, apical setal formula 2+2+1. Hind tibia flattened and nearly straight, row PD with 11 macrosetae decreasing in length toward the base; row AD with 13 macrosetae interspersed by 2 to 4 small setae; metabasitarsomere with four platellae and two setae on apical transverse row.

External features as in generic description.

Male genitalia. Pygofer side elongate, base wide, apex narrow, with numerous macrosetae on caudo-dorsal area; ventral process with two horn-shaped projections, arising from inner side of ventral margin, produced dorsad ( Figs. 17, 18 View FIGURES 17 – 24 ). Valve subtriangular ( Fig. 19 View FIGURES 17 – 24 ). Subgenital plates, triangular, inner margin nearly straight, outer margin slightly concave, narrowing apically, with row of macrosetae ( Fig. 20 View FIGURES 17 – 24 ). Aedeagal shaft sinuate and tapered in lateral view, with pair of lamellar processes at apex, and with bilateral spines arising from ventral margin near base, directed apically; gonopore at apex ( Figs. 21, 22 View FIGURES 17 – 24 ). Connective Y-shaped, stem slightly longer than arms ( Fig. 23 View FIGURES 17 – 24 ). Style broad at base, parallel-sided through most of length, abruptly narrowing subapically, preapical lobe with fine setae, apex hooklike ( Fig. 24 View FIGURES 17 – 24 ).

Measurement. Length (including tegmen): ♂, 5.4–5.5mm; ♀, 6.0mm.

Host. Unknown.

Type material. Holotype ♂, CHINA: Yunnan Prov., Yingjiang County, Xima , 29 May 2011, coll. Zaihua Yang ( GUGC) ; paratypes: 1 ♂ 1♀, same data as holotype ( GUGC) .

Distribution. China (Yunnan) ( Fig. 25 View FIGURE 25 ).

Remarks. This species is similar to Bambusananus cuihuashanensis Yang & Chen , but can be distinguished from the latter by the aedeagal shaft with a pair of lamellar processes at the apex, and a pair of small spines arising from the ventral margin; and the ventral process of the pygofer side with two horn-shaped processes.

Etymology. The species name is derived from the Latin words “ bi- ”and “ spinosus ”, referring to the two spines near the base of the aedeagus.
