Concavocorona abbreviata ( Jacobi, 1944) View in CoL , n. comb.
( Figs 11–20 View FIGURES 11 – 20 )
Cunedda abbreviata Jacobi 1944: 51 View in CoL [n.sp.]; Metcalf 1963, 6(6): 51
Description. Body length (including forewing): ♂, 7.5–8.0mm. The transverse beige patch ( Fig. 14 View FIGURES 11 – 20 ) on frontoclypeus small, taking up less than 1/4 area of frontoclypeus, and no spot is enclosed.
Ventral process of pygofer ( Figs 15, 17 View FIGURES 11 – 20 ) straight. Aedeagal ventral process in lateral view approximately rectangular ( Fig. 18 View FIGURES 11 – 20 ). Style ( Fig. 16 View FIGURES 11 – 20 ), apodeme apex acutely curved laterally in ventral view, the apophysis is of uniform width only in middle region and distally it gradually narrows. Other characteristics as shown in Figs 11–20 View FIGURES 11 – 20 .
Material. 1♂ (Paratype, NMS), China, Fujian Prov., Wuyi Shan (mts.), kuatun, 2300m, 117° 40' 00" E / 27° 40' 00" N, 19. IV.1938, coll. J. Klapperich. (The original label is sample and in German, this data refer to Lampe et al. (2010), and I conjecture that kuatun should be Gua dun (117° 39' 05" E / 27° 43' 51" N).)
Remarks. The crown ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 11 – 20 ) of this species is strongly concave, which may be the reason Jacobi (1944) placed it in the genus Cunedda Distant, 1918 . However, the lamellate, elevated median longitudinal carina makes the crown concave laterally in Cunedda , but the median longitudinal carina of this species is not lamellate and elevated and the entire disc of the crown is concave; in addition, the crown is shorter than the distance between the eyes, but it is longer in Cunedda Distant. Also , the male pygofer ( Figs 15, 17 View FIGURES 11 – 20 ) of this species has a slender ventral process, which is absent in Cunedda . Therefore, the species is here transferred to Concavocorona gen. n.
