Zamarada calypso Prout, 1926: 31 . Locus typicus: Madagascar: Diego Suarez, 30.iv.1917 (G. Melou) (Lectotype Ƌ designated by Fletcher (1974) in NHMUK).

Genetic data. BIN BOLD: AAH8506 (n=5 from Yemen, Madagascar; maximum variation 0.8%). Nearest species: Z. euryscaphes (4.5%).

Distribution. Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar, Tanzania, Yemen ( Fletcher 1974; Hausmann 2006; Aarvik & Bjørnstad 2007).
