Distribution

It is a typically Mediterranean species, widespread in warm regions of the Western Palearctic ( Chittaro and Marggi 2015). It can be found in mainland Italy, Sicily and Sardinia ( Vigna Taglianti 2005).

Notes

It is generally described as riparian and swamp-dwelling species. It occurs near freshwater, particularly irrigation canals and swamps Chittaro and Marggi 2015).
