Type species. Vimola bauhiniae Chandrapatya & Boczek, 2001c: 121–123 .
Diagnosis. Body fusiform; gnathosoma large, abruptly curved and bent down near base; scapular setae (sc) absent; genu II seta absent, paraxial tibial seta (l’) absent, empodium divided; anterolateral setae on coxisternum І (1b) absent; opisthosoma with a ridge, setae d absent.
This genus is monotypic ( Amrine et al. 2003).
