Type species. Suthamus chiangmi Chandrapatya & Boczek, 2000b: 151 , 152–153.
Diagnosis. Body fusiform; gnathosoma large, abruptly curved and bent down near base; scapular setae (sc) present; genu setae absent from both legs, leg II with 5 segments, empodium divided; coxae I and coxae II each with 3 setae.
This genus is monotypic ( Amrine et al. 2003).
