Type species. Asetacus madronae Keifer, 1952a: 36–37 , 42.

Diagnosis. Body fusiform; gnathosoma large, abruptly curved and bent down near base; scapular setae (sc) absent; femoral setae absent from both legs, empodium entire; coxae I and coxae II each with 3 setae.

This genus consists of 7 species ( Amrine et al. 2003). Only one species has been recorded from Southeast Asia.
