Type species. Vimola syzygii Boczek in Boczek & Chandrapatya, 1992a: 282, 283.

Diagnosis. Body fusiform; gnathosoma large, abruptly curved and bent down near base; scapular setae (sc) absent; genual setae absent from leg II, paraxial tibial seta (l’) absent, empodium divided; anterolateral setae on coxisternum І (1b) absent.

This genus consists of 9 species ( Amrine et al. 2003). Three of these have been recorded from Southeast Asia.
