Type species. Nothopoda rapaneae Keifer, 1951: 96 .

Diagnosis. Body fusiform; prodorsal shield without frontal lobe, scapular tubercles near rear shield margin; anterolateral setae on coxisternum I (1b) absent; leg tibia fused with tarsus; opisthosoma with annuli subequal dorsoventrally, completely microtuberclate.

This genus consists of 10 species ( Amrine et al. 2003). Only one species has been recorded from Southeast Asia.
