Type species. Acaphylla steinwedeni Keifer, 1943: 214 , 221.

Diagnosis. Body fusiform; scapular tubercles and setae ahead of rear shield margin; opisthosoma with a single middorsal ridge; genu II seta absent, empodium divided; anterolateral setae on coxisternum I (1b) absent.

This genus consists of 6 species ( Amrine et al. 2003). Two species have been recorded from Southeast Asia.
