Lernecella minor ( Otte, 2006) , n. comb.

http://lsid.speciesfile.org/urn:lsid: Orthoptera .speciesfile.org:TaxonName:27937 Paraclodes minor Otte, 2006: 365 .

Type locality. Costa Rica, Alajuela Province, Zona Protectora de Arenal Pocosol.

Type material. Holotype, Costa Rica, Alajuela Province, Zona Protectora de Arenal Pocosol, 1 male, 16.ii.1994, P. Naskrecki, INBio.

Remark. The species described as Paraclodes minor clearly belongs to the genus Lernecella (see diagnosis of the genus in Hebard, 1928a and Desutter-Grandcolas 1992a), as clearly shown by its size, general shape of males and females, male FWs and male genitalia (see Otte 2006, Fig. 67), even though the pictures are not precise enough to allow comparison with other Lernecella species. The number of TIII spurs indicated by Otte (2006) will have to be checked, as Lernecella species usually have 4 pairs of subapical spurs and 3 pairs of apical spurs on TIII. I propose to transfer Paraclodes minor to Lernecella .
