Hyposoter sanguinator Aubert, 1960 View in CoL : holotype ♀ in MZLS, examined.

The combination of red hind coxae and entirely red metasoma, including the whole of the first tergite, make the species easy to identify.

Nothing is known of the biology. The species is known only from the south of France and from Corsica.
