Hyposoter dumeticola ( Holmgren, 1860) View in CoL

Limneria dumeticola Holmgren, 1860 : lectotype ♀ in NHRS, designated by Hinz (1964), examined by Horstmann.

We have not seen specimens of this species: however, Horstmann had examined the lectotype and left in his notes a full description of it. It is one of four species with black metasoma, pale fore and mid coxae, and more or less orange hind tibiae; it should be distinguishable from monensis sp. nov. and pechipogator sp. nov. by its finely granulate area petiolaris (rugulose in the other species). It shares this with rivulator sp. nov., which however has a single keel instead of a trapezoidal area basalis on the propodeum, and a clear yellow sternite 2 as opposed to a strong brown band across the middle of it.

The species is reported only from Sweden and Russia, and is perhaps boreal. Its biology is unknown.
