Diagnosis.
Rossellinae with tubular, saccular, or plate-like gross morphology. Basiphytous or lophophytous, thin-walled. Dermalia are combinations of spicules from hexactins to diactins. Regular pentactins make up a hypodermal layer. Choanosomal skeleton composed of diactins, sometimes with hexactins. Atrialia are hexactins or stauractins. Microscleres are combinations of oxyoidal hexasters, hemihexasters, and hexactins; lacking pappocomes (from Kahn et al. 2013).
