Holotype M (with associated larval and pupal exuviae): [Place des Amandiers], Cayenne, [ Island of Cayenne ], French Guiana ( MNHP *); coll. G. Senevet; date not provided; no. G.113.

The holotype of Ae. martineti , originally deposited in the LPFM, was established as non-extant by Belkin (1968: 53) and found in the MNHP by Dégallier & Claustre (1980: 144).
