Ex Pipistrellus subflavus (eastern pipistrelle): 1 L, TN, Blount Co., Gregory’s Cave, Sep. 1999, W. K. Reeves, L­ 3021 (Reeves 2000); 1 L, TN, Blount Co., Whiteoak Saltpeter Cave, Sep. 1999, W. K. Reeves, L­ 3022 (Reeves 2000).

These chiggers were primarily removed from the ears and faces of bats that were roosting in caves (Reeves 2000).
