Ex Melospiza melodia (song sparrow): TN, Blount Co., Cades Cove, 19 Jun. 2001, P. Super. A subspecies of the song sparrow, Melospiza melodia samuelis , is the type host for M. chrysophaeus ( Price et al. 2003) .
