Ex Peromyscus maniculatus (deer mouse): 1M, TN, Sevier Co., Greenbrier, 18 Apr. 1931, R. L. Boke ( Fox 1940, Benton 1980, Durden & Kollars 1997); GSMNP ( Linzey & Linzey 1968, Durden & Kollars 1997).

This large Nearctic flea parasitizes small mammals, especially Peromyscus and Microtus spp., east of the Great Plains ( Lewis 1974).
