According to Article 59.2 of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature (ICZN, 1999), removal of this taxon from Catoptes View in CoL makes a replacement name for Platyomida latipennis Broun, 1917 View in CoL unnecessary, despite the secondary homonymy caused by the placement of the latter taxon into Catoptes View in CoL by Kuschel (1969).
