Although C. aemulator View in CoL has been used as a valid name previously, C. tenebricus View in CoL is chosen as the senior name, as the holotype of C. aemulator View in CoL is a teneral specimen and critical characters are not fully developed. The vestiture of C. argentalis View in CoL is quite different in colour, shape and appearance from that of C. tenebricus View in CoL ; however no clear structural characters exist to reliably separate the two.
