Swollen anterior body region 18–26% of total body length. Usually eight cephalic adhesion tubes on cephalic capsule,

rarely ten to 15. Amphids lateral, usually loop-shaped, with branches usually of unequal length, rarely spiral, and apparently absent in Dracograllus jaewanii Rho & Kim, 2011 . Precloacal copulatory thorns usually absent. Posterior adhesion tubes all anterior to cloacal opening [except in Dracograllus eira (Inglis, 1968) and Dracograllus minutus Decraemer, 1988 ]; posterior adhesion tubes usually extending posterior to anus in females (four exceptions). Paravulvar setae may be present.

Remarks

This is the first record of the genus in the New Zealand region. Dracograllus chiloensis Clasing, 1980 , is considered species inquirenda owing to the incomplete nature of the original description, which, apart from body length and spicule length, did not provide either measurements of morphological structures or details of the number and arrangement of posterior adhesion tubes and stout setae.
