Eggens et al. (2020: 27) proposed the new combination “ 8c. Silene microsperma subsp. maritima (Boiss.) Eggens, F.Jafari & Oxelman , comb. et stat. nov. ”. However, the basionym ( Silene kotschyi var. maritima ) was reported without the page of the original publication of the protologue [“≡ Silene kotschyi var. maritima Boiss., Fl. Orient. , 1: 1867. Type: ...”]. According to the Art. 41.6 of Shenzhen Code ( Turland et al. 2018), the proposed combination was not validly published. A corrected citation is given below.
