Zavatilla Tsuneki, 1993 (as subgenus of Smicromyrme Thomson, 1870 ). SPJHA 41: 42. Male.

Gender. Feminine.

Type species. Mutilla gutrunae Zavattari, 1913 (male), by original designation.

Taxonomic history. Raised to generic status by Lelej, 1996: 8. Valid generic name.

Sex association. The female of the type species was identified and redescribed by Zhou et al., 2018: 105, figs 1–5.
