STATUS. — Resident; Breeding.

REMARK. — The specimens from south Burkina Faso are very rufous on the undertail, with a reddish hue extending on the vent. A hybrid zone/introgression with T. rufiventer should be considered. Further field and genetic research on this species and the closely relatives are greatly needed (cfr. Fabre et al. 2012).
