LITERATURE. — Lesaffre & Perré (2006); Dowsett et al. (2013); ABC (2020).

FIELD DATA. — GBIF.

STATUS. — Resident; Breeding?

REMARK. — A pair observed and photographed in extreme north Burkina in February, March, and November 2005 ( ABC 2020), but not reported for Burkina Faso by Borrow & Demey (2014). The specimen of the SMF bird collection (SMF 12435) is from a “fetish market”, thus the locality is uncertain and not verifiable (G. Mayr pers. comm. 2020). The presence and the status of this species in Burkina Faso need further assessment.
