Mexicoiulus dampfi Verhoeff, 1926:67 View in CoL –71, figs. 4–11. Hoffman, 1999:158. Paraiulus dampfi: Loomis, 1968a:75 .

Type specimen. ɗ holotype ( ZSBS) collected by Prof. Alfonso Dampf, 20 July 1924, at Desierto de Los Leones, Distrito Federal, Mexico.

Potential diagnostic features. As reported for the genus.

Distribution. Known only from the type locality.

Remarks. The gonopods and the anterior end of the holotype are lost as they are not with the rest of the body nor on slides at the ZSBS (S. Friedrich, pers. comm.). Until more specimens become available, the identity of M. dampfi rests with the account and illustrations of Verhoeff (1926).
