Notes.

Schembri (1980) recorded this species on the basis of two males collected from Gћadira in August 1977. This taxon occurs throughout southern Europe - namely the Iberian Peninsula, France, Italy (including Sardinia and Sicily) and Malta; it also occurs in North Africa, Israel and Jordan, where the reddish subspecies L. m. falkenhayni (Dusmet, 1917) inhabits desert areas ( Gusenleitner 1993).
